The Life Style MovementThe Life Style Movement exists to provide inspiration and practical advice to all people of goodwill who aspire to live in a way that reflects the ideals of justice for our Earth and for those who live on it.It marries personal lifestyle to active support of groups working for environmental, developmental and peace issues; It is secular and non-political, although many of its members hold religious beliefs and campaign politically. Through its regular magazine it seeks: To inform its members on issues such as globalisation, international debt, resource use, genetically-modified organisms, political exploitation and social justice; To point to the (often complex) connections between these issues; To inform its members on the practicalities of "downshifting" such as saving energy, recycling, etc; And to foster local cooperation on Agenda 21. Although the organisation is international and has a local group in Bristol, we are trying to start a local group in Thornbury and the surrounding area.
